What is Capital Clubhouse?

Capital Clubhouse, Inc. is a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization that offers people whose lives have been disrupted by mental illness the opportunity to demonstrate that they can lead productive, happy lives. We offer a work-ordered structured day in addition to resources for employment, housing and counseling.

Founded in 2017, we became fully operational in October 2019 in a space at NY Avenue Presbyterian Church. Today we operate out of the top floor of St. Thomas' Parish Episcopal Church. We are not connected with any religious group, and serve anyone who needs it.

We are affiliated with over 300 other mental health clubhouses around the world. Clubhouses are member-based communities where people living with mental illness can experience respect, hope and opportunities. The clubhouse model is proving to be a great asset in the Washington, DC system of mental health care.
